Mariza was born in Athens, Greece in 1989.
At the age of 6, she began snapping pictures with a disposal camera; She hasn’t stopped taking photos since.
She decided on a career as a photographer whilst studying Sociology at Panteio University, from which she graduated in 2011.
Along with her studies, she was attending photography seminars and workshops.
She then went on to study Photography and Audiovisual Arts at T.E.I of Athens.
She has always loved storytelling, which she could do much better with imagery than words.
She tries to capture the most genuine moments, primarily using natural light and minimal retouching.
Her work focuses on narrative portraiture, documentary, event and fine art photography.
